Why talk about drawing? It stands for itself…
Drawing is the basis, it brings me back to the essential, to the origin of all creation.
The line, preferably made by charcoal, remains spontaneous, no cheating is possible, all is said and all can be seen. Mixing finesse and fervour, charcoal or pen, pencil or pastel, allows the language of drawing to be diversified and creates different moods.
An idea, a look, the line is my memory…
Drawing carves onto my eyes a new vision of place, of space crossed or some other mood I’ve met.
Between my different techniques of painting and engraving, drawing is synonymous with breathing and spontaneity.
